Weis MFG latest expansion into the drop bar fringes is the Gravel Plus, built in Titanium and Steel. The Plus breaches into worlds typically reserved for mountain bikes and touring rigs. Designed with 445 mm chainstays, a blend of in-house butted tubing profiles, options for 6 bottle or bag mounts, full integrated cable routing with the brand’s in-house made Ti Fork, and alternate suspension fork options, this frame is the marriage of multiple advances in its framebuilding process.

In the past 5 years the use cases for gravel bikes have expanded to become far more capable than some rigid mountain bikes, whilst retaining the general speed expectations of a ‘drop bar’ bike. Weis’ endless pursuit of capability, responsiveness, and excitement means it can take the market’s demands as a baseline, and continue to expand upon what we as bike riders would love to ride. This frameset clears 700 x 55 mm (29 x 2.2″). Rubber this wide lets you take gravelly corners like smooth tarmac, hop over rocks effortlessly, and glide along hardpack.

Big tire clearance means more confidence off road, but also extended comfort for long days in the saddle. Some of the first Plus framesets have recently reached the hands of some of Weis’ most dedicated bike riding friends around the world.

Whilst versatility is a major feature of the Gravel Plus, this frame isn’t a quiver killer, it’s a laser-focused specialist in whatever you want it to be.
