Surf City Cyclocross Returns October 25–26 at Crest Ranch

The Rock Lobster and Onko Rinkus crew is bringing Surf City Cyclocross back for another lap around the sun. This year’s event will take place on October 25-26 for our two-day race and camping festival at Crest Ranch in the Santa Cruz Mountains of California. This will be the event’s 47th year, making Surf City the oldest ‘cross series in the Western Hemisphere!

Registration is open now! You can SIGN UP HERE
What’s Up This Year

  • Course: Due to unpopular demand,  the new course is faster and flowier — less jungle-cross, more speed and fun.
  • Camping: Friday and Saturday night. Please reserve your camping pass when you register. Space is now limited to 150 campers as Crest Ranch continues to re-plant the meadow with new trees after the CZU fire. Please note: the event requests that jumbo RVs and trailers stay home this year. Saturday night will feature family-friendly (and unfriendly) activities.
  • Doggie Cross: Back by popular demand on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. Race a lap with your pup—treats for the dogs at the finish line.
  • Saturday Night Campfire World Championships presented by One Wheel. Bring a headlight and prepare to be unprepared.
  • Sunday Costume Race: The highlight of Surf City All Hallow’s Cross! Where countless racers duke it out for the most prestigious podium in bike racing. The stakes could never be higher. Bonus points for group costumes.
  • Free Entry for First-Time Bike Racers: Got a friend who you know would love this, but you’re having a hard time convincing them to come? If they’ve never done a bike race before and reach out to us, we’ll get them signed up. Does this help us stay financially solvent? No! But we wanna see the sport continue here in NorCal, and getting fresh victims (oops, we mean participants) is how that happens. Shoutout to our sponsors who help us make this happen!
