We’re so lucky to have Guy Stone from Relstone Cycles display his beautiful Ghidorah rigid MTB for this week’s Readers’ Rides. Inspired by Kaiju movies, this gilded steed features a King Ghidorah theme. Read on for a brief description and a gallery of photos by Daniel Iroh…
This has been a year of many transitions. There has been a major change in my Family, career, and health.
This summer has provided a needed reset. These two rides have been a big part of that reset.
Old Dawg Ghidorah is the 5th in a series of Japanese Kaiju (monster) themed bikes. It is also the 1st Relstone 29er after nearly a decade of building bikes.
During the isolation of COVID, my son and I watched every Godzilla movie in chronological order. It was something that both of us really enjoyed. This experience provided the inspiration to build a series of kaiju themed bikes for my son and I.
Ultimately, they are all for him as a reminder of the good times we had watching old Godzilla movies together and now riding our cool bikes together.
