With the 2025 Made Bike Show coming up this weekend, many builders will be unveiling new models. One of which you’ll see at the show is this Pine Cycles FRST gravel bike. John got an early sneak peek at the bike earlier this summer, and we’ve got a detail-packed gallery for you, along with the press release details of this new model below…
FRST stands for Full Rigid Single Track, and is Pine Cycles’ latest offering. This is an all-new steel gravel/adventure bike designed for mixed terrain riding while not compromising a comfortable and fast-feeling ride quality underfoot. It’s tire spacing is maxed out at 2.3″ while maintaining a 68 mm bottom bracket shell and non-boost spacing. The FRST features a long front-center and tall stack height.

About Pine

It All Started With a Fork
Before launching Pine Cycles, founder Kevin McClelland played a key role in the design of the ENVE Adventure Fork while serving as ENVE’s Framebuilder Sales Manager. Created to meet the needs of custom builders around the world and to lay the groundwork for his own future frame. The Adventure Fork became the benchmark gravel fork.
Five years on, it remains at the forefront of the category, with class-leading tire clearance and its innovative flip-chip dropout system. With the launch of the FRST, Kevin brings the story full circle with a design that began with a fork has now evolved into the bike he always intended to build.
FRST Design Origins
The FRST was born from thousands of miles spent on trails and gravel roads across the West. From the rolling singletrack of the Bonneville Shoreline Trail, to the steep terrain of Tiger Mountain, to long-haul bikepacking races like the Dark Divide and The Big Lonely.
Those miles shaped the FRST into a bike that could seamlessly weave singletrack into a gravel ride while remaining fast, efficient, and responsive on long days in the saddle. It is that vision realized – a bike built to expand what gravel riding can be.
Prototype FRST Build Kit
John here, pausing the press info of this post and interjecting some props on Kevin’s build on this prototype frame. I wanted to commend Kevin on his choice of running the STX MC40 crank and the Garbaruk M950 chainring on this build. Keven bought the cranks at his local co-op for $20 and had them refinished at an anodizing shop.
I love the silver Paul Klampers, White Industries headset, and Thomson seat collar offering some contrast to the black kit. The UDH dropouts were made by Forager Cycles with some of their Cable Cherries. When I documented the bike, the SRAM 90 rear mech had just rolled out to dealers and seeing it paired with the Dia Compe Uno shifter was the chef’s kiss. Well done, man!
Tabula UDH Dropouts
The new Tabula UDH Dropouts offer modern drivetrain compatibility while preserving a slim, elegant profile, low weight, and perfectly symmetrical chainstays. Developed in collaboration with RatKing Frames and proudly machined in the USA by Forager Cycles, the Tabula Dropouts are an extension of Pine’s commitment to innovation, craftsmanship, and versatility.
Endlessly Capable
The FRST is our vision of a gravel bike without boundaries — endlessly capable, elegantly simple, and ready for whatever road or trail lies ahead. Whether linking local singletrack, chasing podiums, or embarking on bikepacking ultras, the FRST is designed to be the one bike that can do it all.
Made Bike Show
There will be a special version of the FRST on display at the Made Show in Portland Aug 22-24 in booth #230. Say hi to Kevin and tell him you saw this bike on The Radavist!
