Like Grant, we’re suckers for skinny tubed, rim brake road bikes. Let’s check out his hand-painted Steelman Stage Race road bike…
I hand-painted this Steelman Stage Race frame for a friend of mine and built it up with a new old stock 11-speed 105 groupset.
It’s a pretty simple build for a gorgeous frame and was stoked to paint it for a friend of mine. A combination of alcohol inks, Spray.bike silver on the stays and some 2-component automotive clear coat over some official Steelman decals brought this thing together.
I’m a sucker for skinny tubed, rim brake road bikes. Bicycles don’t get much cooler! Hope you and the readers enjoy.
These things take a while to paint but the process is damn near therapeutic.
Thanks for keeping classy bikes alive on the site. Cheers.
